Job summary
Der Azure Cloud Engineer verantwortet den stabilen und sicheren Betrieb geschäftskritischer Managed-Service-Umgebungen auf Microsoft Azure und entwickelt diese kontinuierlich weiter. Zu den Aufgaben gehören Monitoring und Optimierung komplexer Infrastrukturen, Incident-Analyse und -Behebung, Automatisierung mit PowerShell, Bash und Azure Runbooks sowie Infrastructure-as-Code-Arbeit mit Terraform. Die Rolle umfasst außerdem die Administration von Azure-Netzwerken, virtuellen Maschinen, Datenbanken und Identitäten sowie gelegentliche Vor-Ort-Einsätze und Rufbereitschaft.

Qualifications
- Fluent German and English
- Several years of experience operating complex Microsoft Azure environments
- Experience with Azure subscriptions, management groups, virtual machines, networks, firewalls, VPN, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints, and DNS
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Resource Health, Update Manager, and Maintenance Configurations
- Knowledge of Azure databases and platform services, including Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Web Apps, Container Apps, and Container Registry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, Privileged Identity Management, and Active Directory synchronization
- Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, and service connections
- Windows Server experience and basic Linux knowledge, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu
- PowerShell and Bash scripting and automation skills
- Knowledge of Kusto Query Language, JSON, and ARM Templates; interest in Terraform
- Knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services and DNS
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and optimize complex Microsoft Azure infrastructures
- Analyze and resolve complex incidents and implement sustainable improvements
- Automate recurring tasks with PowerShell, Bash, and Azure Runbooks
- Administer Azure networks, virtual machines, databases, identities, permissions, and policies
- Improve monitoring, logging, documentation, and the knowledge base
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code work, particularly with Terraform
- Participate in on-site visits, support assignments, and 24/7 on-call duty
