Job summary

Build, operate, and improve Azure platforms and Windows-based workloads for enterprise customers, including hybrid environments using Azure Arc and Azure Local. The role combines hands-on platform operations and incident, change, and problem management with customer consulting, solution design, security and compliance implementation, and automation using PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible. It also contributes to presales workshops and the development of Azure services.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, IAM, storage, and Azure Policy
• Strong Windows Server administration experience, including versions 2016–2025, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Experience with security baselines, hardening, LAPS, and patching using Azure Update Manager or SCCM (MECM)
• Knowledge of backup and recovery with Azure Backup or comparable tools
• Solid PowerShell and Terraform skills; Ansible is an advantage
• Experience operating platforms using incident, change, and problem management processes
• Willingness to advise customers and present project outcomes
• Clear communication skills in German and English

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve Azure platforms and Windows-based workloads for enterprise customers
• Operate and develop Windows Server environments in hybrid on-premises, Azure Arc, and Azure Local scenarios
• Handle incidents, changes, and problems according to established operating standards
• Participate in on-call duty and escalations
• Advise customers, design technical solutions, and implement them in Professional Services projects
• Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible
• Implement security and compliance requirements in daily operations
• Support presales workshops and proofs of concept
• Contribute ideas to develop new Azure services
