Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps engineering for large enterprises or public sector
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of programming languages
- Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear understanding of DevOps and Agile principles
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Experience using solutions and services on AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms
- Experience in containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with software engineering and customer experience
- Experience working with teams from several departments
- Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
- UK Security Clearance (SC) required
- At least 3 years in an engineering, architectural, or operational role delivering cloud services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Analyze current technology within customer contracts, projects, and solutions
- Develop steps and processes to improve and expand technology
- Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
- Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers
- Automate and improve development and release processes
- Test and examine code written by others and analyze results
- Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes
- Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes
- Establish milestones for departmental contributions and facilitate collaboration
- Work with engineering professionals to maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services
- Mentor and train other engineers
- Continually improve processes
