Azure DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The DevOps Developer will support a Department of Energy client, maintaining and improving the current CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps. This role involves managing software development operations, implementing engineering tools, and streamlining updates or creation processes.

• Ability to work 2 days a week in the Rockville, MD office
• Ability to pass multiple background and employment checks (federal and local)
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or a related field
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline with Azure DevOps (absolute must)
• 5-10+ years of experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation
• Experience with Azure, Azure GOV, Azure DevOps, Azure PowerShell, Bash, SonarQube, Azure Automation, SQL
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Experience with writing technical DevOps Documentation
• Some experience with Azure Cloud Migration, Monitoring, and Deployment to Cloud
• Ability to integrate CI/CD pipeline with unit testing and static code inspection
• 5 years of experience building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the current CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps
• Manage software development operations
• Implement engineering tools
• Streamline updates or creation processes using process knowledge
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Azure DevOps environment for optimal performance
• Provide level 2 technical support
• Execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately, and securely
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Work closely with engineering professionals to maintain hardware and software for efficient project completion
• Mentor and train other engineers and continually improve company-wide processes
