Azure DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Build and operate Azure delivery pipelines and cloud infrastructure for production products handling sensitive medical and financial data in a regulated environment. Own Azure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure as code, operate App Service, API Management, Data Factory, and Application Insights, and design multi-region resilience. Ensure deployments and infrastructure controls are secure, repeatable, and produce evidence for compliance programs such as SOC 2 Type 2.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on DevOps, platform, or cloud engineering experience operating production workloads in Azure.
• At least 3 years building and operating Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, including multi-stage deployments, templates, approvals, and secure service connections.
• Hands-on experience with Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform deployed through CI/CD.
• Experience integrating code, dependency, and secrets scanning into CI/CD.
• Strong Git skills, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, and branch policies.
• Production experience with Azure App Service and Azure API Management.
• Experience developing and supporting Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
• Experience designing and testing Azure multi-region architecture, geo-replication, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting and familiarity with Azure CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including Entra ID RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, encryption, and secure-by-default configuration.
• Experience with a compliance framework such as SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or ISO 27001.
• Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
