Job summary

The Azure DevOps Platform Specialist is tasked with analyzing and redesigning the Azure DevOps environment, focusing on migration to a new Azure subscription. Responsibilities include developing branching strategies, implementing CI/CD standards, integrating security tools, and coaching development teams to ensure compliance and governance within a secure DevOps framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience supporting developers and DevOps teams in software building via CI/CD
• Minimum two years of experience translating policy into implementation and stakeholder management
• Experience integrating security within Azure DevOps and pipelines, including security tooling like SAST/SCA

Responsibilities

• Review current Azure DevOps setup (repos, pipelines, agent pools, security)
• Identify improvement areas and risks
• Design branching strategy, pipeline standards, and governance model
• Migrate Azure DevOps environment to a new Azure subscription
• Establish guidelines for branch policies and pull request strategies
• Develop policy as code principles and reusable automation blueprints
• Configure branch policies, YAML pipeline templates, and central libraries
• Set up access control and secret management
• Implement standardized CI/CD pipelines
• Integrate security tooling in pipelines (SAST, SCA)
• Establish quality gates and compliance checks
• Optimize use of self-hosted agents and automate agent image management
• Support and coach development teams; introduce best practices
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer; conduct workshops
