Job summary

The Azure Engineer role involves designing and managing cloud platforms within the Microsoft ecosystem, focusing on providing 1st-level support for Microsoft 365 services like Exchange Online and Teams. Responsibilities include managing identity issues with Microsoft Entra ID, utilizing ITIL processes in ServiceNow, and ensuring effective documentation and knowledge management. The position requires strong expertise in Azure technologies and experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Completed education as an IT specialist or equivalent; further education at HF/FH level is a plus.
• Several years of experience as a Cloud or Azure Engineer with strong knowledge in Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient in Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Microsoft Entra ID, and RBAC.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Git workflows.
• Skilled in PowerShell and Azure CLI for process optimization.
• Knowledge of Azure Policy, Governance, Site Recovery, Cost Management, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud is advantageous.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
• Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Fluent in German and good English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st-level support via phone, email, and remote assistance.
• Analyze, resolve, and document user issues systematically.
• Support Microsoft 365 basic support: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Manage identity issues: Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, SSPR.
• Handle endpoint management: Intune, Enrollment Status, access rights.
• Follow ITIL processes in ServiceNow, escalate to 2nd level as needed.
• Create documentation and checklists, maintain knowledge base.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and update internal processes.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain Dynamics 365.
