Job summary
Own end-to-end platform engineering for secure, scalable Azure and Google Cloud AI/ML services in a financial services environment, enabling application teams to consume cloud capabilities safely. Design and operate Terraform modules, GitHub Actions pipelines, Python tooling, security controls, and generative AI patterns for services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure ML, and Google Vertex AI. Guide engineering standards and partner with security, network, risk, and architecture teams.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of cloud platform or infrastructure engineering experience, including deep Infrastructure as Code delivery on Azure or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in Terraform module design, composition, workspaces, testing, drift management, and pipeline patterns.
- Strong Python skills for SDK integrations, CLI and tooling development, automated testing, packaging, and observability.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD, including reusable workflows, environments, OIDC-based cloud authentication, deployment gating, and secrets management.
- Experience deploying and operating AI/ML services on Azure or Google Cloud, such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Bot Service, Azure ML, Vertex AI, BigQuery, or Pub/Sub.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VNets/VPCs, NSGs and firewall rules, hub-spoke and shared VPC patterns, private endpoints, ExpressRoute, DNS, and hybrid routing.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Infrastructure as Code delivery for cloud AI services, from Terraform module design and pipeline setup through production rollout and ongoing operations.
- Design secure self-service platform abstractions, including Terraform modules, reusable GitHub Actions workflows, Python tools, and golden paths.
- Lead architectural discussions across Azure and Google Cloud, balancing capability, cost, performance, regulatory fit, and developer experience.
- Embed identity, networking, certificate, secrets management, policy, and audit controls into platform services.
- Develop safe generative AI consumption patterns, including private endpoints, RAG architectures, model routing, content filtering, and evaluation tooling.
- Lead code reviews and establish standards for infrastructure quality, testing, observability, error handling, and runbooks.
- Partner with security, network, risk, and architecture teams to guide new capabilities through internal control gates.
- Shape platform strategy, roadmaps, build-versus-buy decisions, vendor evaluations, and cross-team alignment.
