Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer designs, builds, and maintains secure, scalable Azure environments for application and data-intensive solutions, including cloud migrations. The role configures Azure data services, networking, and security controls; troubleshoots end-to-end data pipelines; and automates infrastructure and CI/CD deployments using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of total experience, including at least 5 years working with Azure cloud services for data-intensive solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing SQL and NoSQL solutions on Azure.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or PowerShell for automated Azure deployments.
• Experience designing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML and scripts.
• Knowledge of Git, repositories, artifacts, branching strategies, merge conflicts, policies, and pipelines.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Kubernetes and container technology experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement Azure environments for applications, data teams, and DevOps.
• Configure Azure resources with security features and compliance controls.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, data teams, and infrastructure support to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Document work, track and prioritize tasks, and raise anticipated blockers.
• Design, configure, and optimize Azure data services, including Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, databases, and batch services.
• Configure application gateways, identity services, firewalls, and networking.
• Migrate data and applications from on-premises environments to Azure.
