Backend Software Engineer (Storage SRE) - Cloud Infrastructure

Job summary

This site reliability engineering role supports large-scale storage, computing, and database infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and compliance. The work includes improving capacity and stability, diagnosing bottlenecks, building automated operations and monitoring platforms, managing high-availability architecture, and implementing data protection plans. The infrastructure spans Linux systems and technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Spark, and Flink.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience
• Solid computer software fundamentals and understanding of Linux, storage, and network I/O principles
• Familiarity with one or more of Python, Go, and Java
• Knowledge of design patterns and coding principles
• Storage system experience, including technologies such as KV, Table, Graph, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, MQ, or Kafka
• Computing or big data system experience, including technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, AIOps, Spark, Flink, Function as a Service, RPC frameworks, or Service Mesh

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability, capacity, and stability of core infrastructure
• Establish reliability standards and recovery procedures
• Troubleshoot technical issues and analyze system bottlenecks
• Transform and upgrade high-availability architectures
• Build automated operational solutions for large-scale systems
• Partner with system development teams on system iteration
• Design software platforms and monitoring frameworks for automated SOA governance
• Establish delivery standards and monitor and budget infrastructure to optimize costs
• Design and set up data centers
• Design and implement data protection plans to meet standards
