Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud)

Job summary

Provides senior technical leadership for cloud and hybrid infrastructure platforms, modernising on-premises environments into Azure while supporting critical business services. The role owns and evolves Azure, Microsoft 365 and related services; establishes Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and automation practices using Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; and advances security, platform governance and engineering capability.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and hybrid identity.
• Strong Azure engineering capability.
• Proven experience migrating and modernising on-premises environments into Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Exchange Online.
• Ability to influence technical direction, mentor engineers and collaborate with architects, security specialists, vendors and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Azure, Microsoft 365 and supporting cloud services.
• Lead migration and transformation of traditional infrastructure into a modern cloud operating model.
• Establish and improve Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and automation practices.
• Embed security-by-design and meet cyber security, risk and compliance requirements.
• Lead technical delivery, design assurance and vendor oversight for cloud and infrastructure initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and develop cloud, automation and platform engineering capabilities.
