Job summary

The experienced DevOps engineer works alongside development teams in an operations team, supporting products throughout design, build, and run in a regional banking environment. Responsibilities include provisioning infrastructure, automating deployments, integrating products with monitoring and logging platforms, maintaining production readiness, tracking SLAs, and resolving operational incidents. The technology environment includes Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Grafana, and the ELK Suite.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Windows, and VMware.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Shell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Ansible.
• Experience with Zabbix, Grafana, or the ELK Suite for monitoring and observability.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including F5, firewalls, proxies, DNS, and tcpdump.
• Familiarity with JVM and Java, JBoss, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, and WSO2 API Manager.
• Knowledge of Redis, MySQL, DB2, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or MQSeries.

Responsibilities

• Identify product changes requiring operations work and add technical operations stories to the backlog.
• Provision infrastructure across environments.
• Integrate products with monitoring, backup, archiving, and log management platforms.
• Build industrialization and deployment scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates; automate operations using DevOps services.
• Establish observability indicators and ensure delivered applications meet production requirements.
• Maintain operational readiness documentation and procedures.
• Perform production releases.
• Track product SLAs, monitor production health, and report on service status.
• Anticipate, manage, and follow up on operational incidents; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
