Caching SRE Lead

Job summary

The Caching SRE Lead applies software engineering, automation, and incident-response practices to keep critical caching platforms reliable, available, and scalable. The role operates Redis at scale, supports production workloads on Kubernetes and OpenShift, and uses Python to automate platform operations. It also improves monitoring, performance, and resilience through incident analysis, capacity planning, and collaboration with development and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and troubleshooting Redis at scale, including clustering, replication, high availability, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Production experience deploying, upgrading, scaling, and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Site reliability engineering experience in reliability, incident management, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
• Strong Python programming skills for platform automation, self-service tools, operational workflows, and service lifecycle management.
• Experience in the financial domain is valued.
• Experience with Kafka-based event-driven architectures is valued.
• Experience with AIOP processes and methods is valued.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and plan capacity for system availability, performance, and scalability.
• Analyze and resolve outages and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes and improve resilience.
• Monitor resource usage, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed reliability, scalability, and performance practices.
• Contribute to technology communities and stay informed about industry developments.
