Job summary
The Cloud Architect designs, implements, and maintains scalable and secure cloud architecture solutions to meet business needs. This role collaborates with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job discipline or field.
- Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite of products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Design cloud architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Develop and implement best practices for cloud deployments and operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
- Oversee the migration of applications, data, and systems to cloud environments.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms, tools, and services.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements in cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud systems, identifying and resolving performance or reliability issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for cloud architectures and solutions.
- Research emerging cloud technologies and advise on their potential application.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Resolve a wide range of issues using creativity and comprehensive process, technical, or operational understanding.
- Contribute to departmental strategy and goal development.
- Support key business objectives creatively and strategically.
- Participate in and manage large, cross-functional projects or initiatives with strategic importance.
- Perform high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering, and application of business knowledge.
- Generate fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas, and new approaches that create value.
