Job summary

Seeking a Cloud Architect to support FEMA in modernizing applications related to flood insurance and management. Responsible for designing and governing FEMA's enterprise cloud architecture while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in cloud enterprise architecture design across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Strong proficiency in designing IaaS/PaaS services
• Expert-level knowledge of cloud networking
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and CI/CD pipeline architectures
• Strong understanding of Key Management Services and Identity and Access Management
• Knowledge of FEMA's SELC processes and federal architecture frameworks
• Experience with cloud security tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of cloud-based enterprise architectures for FEMA
• Develop and enhance Cloud Architecture Repositories and technical processes
• Create and promote cloud architecture frameworks for FEMA
• Design architectures incorporating Virtual Compute Services, containerization, and managed database services
• Architect Private Virtual Cloud Networks and hybrid network connectivity
• Provide architectural guidance for key management and Identity and Access Management
• Support Enterprise Architecture alignment with FEMA's Strategic SELC processes
• Lead cloud architecture planning for disaster recovery scenarios
• Ensure designs meet FISMA High security categorization and compliance standards
• Collaborate with FEMA's Data Governance Council
• Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and platforms
• Interface with Engineering teams and FEMA leadership
• Support security engineering tasks for FEMA's Enterprise Security Stack
