Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Engineer manages AWS-hosted client and internal environments supporting enterprise applications in the Corporate Actions and Custody domain. The role builds and operates infrastructure and automation for CI/CD, supports high-availability systems and incident workflows, and helps monitor and optimize distributed cloud services using technologies such as Linux, Java Spring Boot, Terraform, and AWS. It also involves applying generative AI tools to improve DevOps and engineering productivity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting, operating system configuration, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Understanding of messaging middleware, especially JMS, IBM MQ, or ActiveMQ
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Azure DevOps, or Terraform
• Experience supporting high-availability systems
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tooling
• Experience with incident management and ticketing systems
• Experience with source control, including branching, hooks, access control, backup, and recovery
• Knowledge of generative AI tools; familiarity with prompt engineering or AI-enabled automation
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• 7 to 10 years of experience as a cloud engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage client and internal environments hosted in AWS
• Provide infrastructure and automation supporting CI/CD across client UAT, production, and internal environments
• Support high-availability systems
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize large-scale distributed cloud systems
• Handle managed services requests within defined SLAs
• Support incident management and ticketing workflows
