Thales is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to build and maintain a cloud SaaS environment, ensuring optimized performance and reliability of cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in deploying and supporting web-based applications.
• Experience with DevOps and SRE methodologies.
• 3+ years’ experience with orchestration and automation tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools and terminology.
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD.
• Understanding of operational concepts like change management.
• Experience managing large-scale production systems.
• 3+ years’ experience with Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with databases: MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, Elastic Cloud.
• 5+ years’ experience with cloud architecture and REST APIs.
• Adherence to security best practices.
• Experience with PaaS technologies.
• Experience building pipelines for Infrastructure as code.
• Scripting experience in Bash and Python.
• 3+ years’ experience with AWS or GCP cloud services.
• Ability to work in a geographically distributed company.
• Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot applications for optimized performance and reliability.
• Implement automation and pipeline codes with high quality.
• Write infrastructure as code and review code from colleagues.
• Implement AI concepts and tools for operational work.
• Test and deploy software updates and new features using CI/CD tools.
• Analyze product requirements and identify solutions.
• Forecast and inform risks on tasks and propose mitigation plans.
• Provide technical solutions and support for database activities.
• Orchestrate and optimize database activities in projects.
• Manage and improve system/network configuration and monitoring.
• Strategize and plan for data migration and develop scripts.
• Support and propose solutions for production database issues.
• Provide documentation including design and end-user documentation.
• Provide input to improve infrastructure scalability and reliability.
• Participate in on-call schedule and provide L2/L3 support.
• Document build and run procedures for new automation technologies.
• Perform knowledge sharing with colleagues.
• Socialize designs with teams and integrate suggestions.
• Implement security best practices and be cost conscious.
