Job summary
The Cloud & DevOps Engineer role at Safe Transport Victoria involves supporting the planning, delivery, implementation, and ongoing optimization of cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is desirable
- Relevant AWS, cloud platform, DevOps and/or Microsoft certifications are mandatory
- Equivalent professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform operations or infrastructure delivery will be considered
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of cloud platforms and DevOps practices
- Manage cloud environments, deployment processes and operational readiness across development, test and production environments
- Oversee automation, integration and environment management practices
- Identify, investigate and resolve complex technical issues, risks and incidents
- Ensure cloud security, monitoring, access controls, backup and recovery processes are maintained
- Provide expert technical advice to stakeholders and project teams
- Manage technical documentation and operational procedures
- Support delivery of transformation initiatives and technology priorities
