Job summary
The Cloud Engineer 1 at Symcor will support the implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, assist in deploying cloud-based applications, and troubleshoot technical issues. This hybrid role requires collaboration with senior engineers to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud environments.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in software engineering, computer science, or information technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure availability and reliability through resource provisioning, continuous monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting.
- Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or outages.
- Support the deployment of cloud-based applications and services.
- Adhere to best practices for application configuration including version control, environment management, and integration with existing systems.
- Facilitate scaling and load balancing to handle variable demand and optimize resource usage.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures.
- Protect cloud resources and data through effective access control, security auditing, and patch management.
- Monitor and respond to security threats by staying informed on the latest vulnerabilities and implementing necessary updates and fixes.
