Cloud Engineer (all genders)

Job summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will successfully transfer digital projects for eSociety into the cloud. You will be responsible for the migration and operation of systems in cloud environments, supporting strategic planning and the development of cloud infrastructures. You will also analyze existing IT systems and plan their migration to the cloud.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of cloud architectures, deployment strategies, scaling, and cloud security best practices (e.g., IAM, Security Groups, encryption)
• Familiarity with OpenShift/OKD, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)
• Profound knowledge of DevOps practices, such as automation, GitOps, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and container orchestration
• Experience in scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Enjoy automation
• Develop creative and structured solutions in line with requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or C5
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Communicate confidently in German and English with various stakeholders
• Be a team player

Responsibilities

• Accompany cloud transformation projects from initial customer contact to successful operation in the cloud
• Responsible for migration and operation of systems in cloud environments
• Support strategic planning and development of cloud infrastructures
• Analyze existing IT systems of customers and plan their migration to the cloud
• Ensure secure operation in the cloud and compliance requirements with monitoring and logging systems
• Collaborate closely with service developers
• Advise project managers and customers on best practices for cloud architectures
