Cloud Engineer (AWS/Multiple)

Job summary

Cloudscaler is seeking a Cloud Engineer with AWS expertise to work closely with customers on complex cloud transformations. The role involves building, testing, packaging, and deploying AWS platforms while ensuring security and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience building AWS resources using Terraform or other IaC
• Competent in Python for Lambda development
• Understand the Shared Responsibility model
• Build, deploy, and operate containers (ideally Docker)
• Appreciate AWS/cloud shared security model
• Knowledge of platform engineering concepts
• Understand challenges of operating services in production
• Experience with AWS security services
• Deep understanding of building, testing, packaging, releasing, and deploying code and services in a team environment
• Kubernetes experience

Responsibilities

• Build, test, package, deploy, and operate cloud platforms in AWS
• Automate infrastructure resource builds in AWS
• Package services into AMIs, Docker containers, or Serverless deployments
• Create Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Deliver platform improvements and new tools
• Build AWS resources using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Deliver within an agile environment
• Administer Kubernetes
