Job summary
The cloud infrastructure engineer helps design, deliver, and operate hybrid platforms across Azure and AWS, supporting infrastructure projects and data analysis. The role automates infrastructure through code and pipelines, onboards cloud accounts, applies security and cost-optimization standards, and collaborates with stakeholders and DevOps teams. Key technologies include Azure networking, ARM, PowerShell, Azure Policy, YAML, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, NSGs, and ExpressRoute
- Demonstrable Azure infrastructure automation experience
- ARM scripting skills
- Experience creating Azure Policy aligned with ISO 27001
- PowerShell scripting and peer-review skills
- Ability to identify and write auto-remediation scripts
- Ability to apply cloud optimization and cost-saving techniques
- Experience creating and editing YAML pipelines
- Experience deploying code with Azure DevOps
- AWS cloud experience
- Ability to create infrastructure using CloudFormation
- Ability to troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Service, Windows Server 2025, or Red Hat Enterprise 9
Responsibilities
- Deliver cloud infrastructure projects and designs
- Design secure connections between cloud platforms, data centres, and supplier sites
- Onboard cloud accounts using design standards and security best practices
- Optimize cloud costs and modernize infrastructure
- Build infrastructure automation and pipelines
- Support technical teams in building infrastructure and extracting cloud data
- Collaborate with stakeholders on public cloud decisions
- Define and write security policies
