Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a Cloud Engineering / DevSecOps Technical Lead to support a federal client's mission by providing hands-on leadership in cloud architecture, development, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 5 years of experience; Master's Degree and 0 to 3 years of experience; 8 to 10 years with no degree
• Must maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Foundational experience with AWS and core services
• Understanding of cloud architecture and design patterns
• Knowledge of cloud computing principles and delivery models
• Experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or cloud security
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development toolchains
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes in an Agile environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery teams in cloud development, architecture, systems engineering, and DevSecOps
• Serve as a technical liaison between customer and engineering team
• Act as technical point of contact for cloud engineering stakeholders
• Plan, execute, and close projects to meet customer objectives
• Define and track delivery health metrics and project KPIs
• Design and maintain tooling and infrastructure for development and deployment
• Establish and improve DevSecOps processes
• Select and optimize CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Perform technical reviews for software quality and standards
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive root cause analysis
• Promote automation-first practices
• Integrate security throughout the lifecycle
• Support incident management and coordinate remediation
• Communicate effectively with distributed teams and customers
