Job summary

The Cloud Engineer role is centered on designing and evolving Google Cloud environments, ensuring platform scalability, resilience, and security. Responsibilities include implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform, building CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex engineering challenges effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale environments on Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of GCP networking, IAM, organisation policy and security fundamentals
• Extensive experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team

Responsibilities

• Design cloud architecture for distributed and event-driven workloads
• Build and evolve landing zones, resource hierarchy, VPC networking, IAM and organisation policy
• Deliver reliable, secure and cost-effective cloud infrastructure
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines
• Champion observability, automation, security and operational excellence
