Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Security Policy and Access team, focusing on building and operating cloud-native, AI-integrated solutions for security compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing, testing, deploying, or supporting cloud-based applications or services.
• Programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience building rich web UIs in full stack technologies.
• Experience with cloud-native application development.
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across application, service, and cloud infrastructure layers.
• Experience using Generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-native SaaS applications and services.
• Build scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Develop and operate services running in public cloud environments.
• Participate in the design and implementation of service automation, monitoring, observability, and telemetry pipelines.
• Analyze service health, performance metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to improve reliability and customer experience.
• Own services through the full lifecycle.
• Work on deployment, configuration, and operational readiness for SaaS services in production environments.
• Review architecture, designs, implementation plans, test strategies, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex production and customer issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, security, SRE, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.
• Contribute to building secure, scalable, and reliable business solutions.
