Job summary
Own assigned cloud engineering work from solution definition through build, testing, deployment and operational handover in an Azure-focused environment, with AWS work as required. Build cloud foundations and hybrid connectivity, deliver staged migrations, maintain infrastructure as code and scripts, apply security and recovery controls, monitor and optimise costs, and investigate faults supporting critical systems across logistics and transport businesses.

Qualifications
- Practical cloud engineering experience, preferably with Azure.
- Practical capabilities in cloud infrastructure, hybrid networking, identity and access management, monitoring and recovery.
- Basic scripting and infrastructure-as-code skills, including the ability to understand, adapt, validate and maintain existing solutions.
- Formal qualifications and cloud certifications are desirable.
- Experience with Terraform or Bicep, PowerShell, Git, deployment pipelines and hybrid infrastructure is useful.
Responsibilities
- Build cloud foundations and hybrid connectivity across networking, identity, compute, storage and monitoring.
- Assess workloads and deliver staged migrations with testing, rollback and business readiness checks.
- Build, adapt and maintain infrastructure as code, deployment templates and scripts.
- Apply security controls, implement monitoring, and test backup and recovery.
- Estimate and monitor cloud costs and optimise configurations for business needs, performance and resilience.
- Investigate faults and prepare documentation and operational handovers.
