Job summary

The Cloud Engineer role involves designing and delivering cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, focusing on security and compliance while implementing DevOps practices. Responsibilities include building CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code, providing technical guidance on cloud automation, and managing production incidents to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• demonstrated experience in cloud technologies
• strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, API Gateway, VPC, EC2, AWS batch and IAM
• strong experience with Azure services such as Azure functions, Azure DevOps, Virtual networks, VMs and RBAC
• solid Infrastructure as Code experience using native tools, Terraform or Azure DevOps
• background in incident management, problem-solving and production support
• exposure to container tools like ECS and Fargate, and full stack application development

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code
• Lead the implementation of DevOps and DevSecOps practices across the organisation
• Act as an escalation point for production incidents and drive ongoing operational improvements
• Provide technical guidance on cloud automation, architecture and vendor management
