Cloud Engineer II

Job summary

This role designs, operates, and improves scalable cloud infrastructure and backend systems for SaaS products. It includes automating infrastructure, maintaining CI pipelines, building production microservices with Docker and Kubernetes, and improving cloud security, compliance, and operational efficiency. The role also provides technical guidance to engineers and works with stakeholders on cloud strategy, using platforms such as Azure and GCP.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying SaaS products on major cloud providers, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• At least one year of experience with Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Database management experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Redis, or Kafka.
• Cloud-native experience, including Kubernetes orchestration, observability, and SecOps.
• Unix systems administration background.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve complex system issues and improve scalability.
• Deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve backend infrastructure.
• Maintain CI build, test, and packaging infrastructure and services.
• Help development teams set up and maintain CI pipelines and tools.
• Build and maintain production microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the cloud engineering team.
• Align cloud strategy with business objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Architect highly available and scalable cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce cloud security and compliance practices.
• Automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
