Job summary

The Cloud Infrastructure team is responsible for the central development of DATEV's cloud strategy. This role involves supporting the development of a sustainable architecture and operating concept for the network infrastructure in the cloud-native data center and integrating new functions into operational use.

Qualifications

• Possess profound cloud platform knowledge, including containers and Kubernetes.
• Have knowledge of cloud governance and security, including access control, tenant separation, and data protection.
• Bring software engineering knowledge and basic programming experience, ideally in Python or Go.
• Have experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Possess network and routing knowledge, including overlay technologies like VXLAN, routing policies, and firewall configurations.
• Work independently, structured, and team-oriented.
• Demonstrate a sense of responsibility.
• Be willing to participate in on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of a secure, scalable, and future-proof network architecture and operating concept.
• Consider all infrastructure levels, from firewall to LAN infrastructure and network virtualization, aligning with internal partner requirements.
• Actively accompany the transition of new network services from the project phase into operational use.
• Ensure structured knowledge transfer, co-design the operating model, and seamlessly integrate into existing operational structures.
• Manage monitoring, incident and change management, capacity planning, and ensure compliance with security and compliance regulations.
• Automate processes to continuously increase efficiency and stability.
• Integrate new network functions seamlessly into existing platforms.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration.
• Be willing to learn new topics.
