Job summary

UP42 is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their SRE team in Berlin, focusing on scaling and maintaining cloud infrastructure for their geospatial processing platform.

Qualifications

• Several years of proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Practical experience managing infrastructure in GCP or comparable experience with AWS/Azure.
• Solid working knowledge of Terraform.
• Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads in production.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Experience with observability solutions and monitoring systems like Prometheus.
• Full business fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and scale reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to IaC practices by managing and deploying cloud resources using Terraform.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads in GCP.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus.
• Drive continuous improvements in system resilience by automating tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish and maintain effective SLOs/SLIs.
• Participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot issues and ensure platform stability.
