Job summary
As a Cloud Engineer, you will develop and operate scalable, secure cloud architectures for demanding customer environments. You will combine automation, platform thinking, and security-by-design to ensure stable, performant, and future-proof infrastructures.

Qualifications
- Several years of practical experience with at least one leading cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), from architecture to operations
- Good knowledge of Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation; infrastructure as an automated, versioned standard
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in productive environments
- Experience in building and operating modern delivery pipelines and automating deployments
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Understanding of central cloud security principles such as Least Privilege, network segmentation, and secrets management
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken
- Experience with identity concepts (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SCIM) or willingness to learn modern IAM architectures
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Professional Cloud Architect)
- Experience with regulatory requirements or frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI, NIST)
- Practical experience in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, or Java) for automation and tooling development
- Experience with cost optimization and budget controlling in cloud environments
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate scalable, secure cloud architectures for demanding customer environments
- Combine automation, platform thinking, and security-by-design
- Ensure stable, performant, and future-proof infrastructures
- Build and further develop CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and Infrastructure- and Configuration-as-Code
- Integrate and orchestrate platform components via defined interfaces, including implementing Policy-as-Code approaches
- Contribute to production-ready use cases (e.g., Workload Identities, Break-Glass concepts, Migration & Automation)
- Develop traceable, robust operating concepts, secure by default
- Document technical results and present them in demos and reviews, precisely and stakeholder-friendly
