Job summary

As a Cloud Engineer at Sopra Steria, you will be responsible for building, operating, and further developing modern cloud infrastructures, ensuring stable and secure system operations, and continuously improving existing cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in operating or developing cloud or IT infrastructures
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts (e.g., compute, storage, networks, platform services)
• Experience with Linux-based systems and container or virtualization environments
• Interest in automation using scripts or Infrastructure-as-Code approaches
• Experience with monitoring and logging concepts, sensitivity to stable systems
• Structured, solution-oriented work style and willingness to learn new technologies
• Very good German and English skills (C1 level or higher)

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and develop modern cloud infrastructures
• Ensure stable, secure, and performant system operations
• Support design of highly available and fault-tolerant architectures
• Continuously improve existing cloud environments for reliability, security, and cost
• Collaborate on introduction and operation of platform-based cloud services
• Analyze performance and capacity, derive optimization measures
• Automate recurring tasks and infrastructure processes
• Work closely with development teams, architects, and clients
