Cloud Engineer

Job summary

Ministry Brands is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure for their products and services.

Qualifications

• Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Datadog
• Understanding of networking, security, IAM, and cloud architecture principles
• Experience administering Linux-based systems
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Experience supporting production SaaS environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and passion for automation
• Clear communication skills for effective collaboration

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for faster and more reliable software delivery
• Monitor platform health, performance, and security
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimise application deployment
• Implement cloud security best practices and compliance controls
• Support incident response and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive infrastructure standardisation and operational excellence
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to cloud strategy
• Mentor colleagues and promote cloud and DevOps best practices
