Job summary

Outscale is seeking Cloud Engineers to design, deploy, and operate their Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) layer, focusing on automation, security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven expertise in Unix/Linux environments with scripting skills.
• Expert-level proficiency with SaltStack or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, maintain, and operate Outscale cloud using best-practice patterns.
• Build, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines.
• Own the full lifecycle of the IaaS environment.
• Automate and industrialise deployments and updates.
• Propose and implement system improvements.
• Define and refine critical KPIs.
• Build and maintain observability stacks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance.
• Identify and remediate single points of failure.
• Write technical documentation and operational playbooks.
• Perform investigations on escalations from client support.
• Strengthen relationships with internal and external teams.
• Assist in capacity planning and roadmap development.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations.
