Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud / Platform Engineer builds and scales the cloud platform supporting banking workloads used by thousands of customers, with a focus on security, reliability, and developer productivity. The role operates an Internal Developer Platform, automates software delivery, contributes to architecture and SRE practices, and supports FINMA-aligned security requirements. The platform uses Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, and tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Claude Code, and Gemini.

• Strong experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Strong experience running workloads on Kubernetes
• Proficiency with Terraform
• Ability to write clean Bash, Python, or Go code
• Good system design skills
• Regular use of AI tools in engineering work
• Fluency in French and English
• Experience supporting developer teams and driving cross-team initiatives
• Experience mentoring teams on platform engineering and SRE
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with Grafana and PromQL
• Networking knowledge
• Understanding of REST API design principles
• Experience with GitOps and automated deployment flows

• Operate and improve the Internal Developer Platform
• Build automation and processes for safe, reliable software delivery
• Apply security-first practices in line with FINMA requirements
• Contribute to architecture decisions and lead strategic work
• Improve SRE practices for observability, alerting, and releases
• Participate in the compensated on-call rotation
• Use AI tools to automate and accelerate engineering work
• Maintain a lean, highly automated platform
