Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

As a Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and further development of the Internal Developer Platform in an agile team.

Qualifications

• advanced knowledge in a higher programming language (Java or Go) and Bash
• solid knowledge in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
• experience with Terraform / OpenTofu and a cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premise environments (e.g., OpenShift)
• consulting experience and an independent, team-oriented work style, proficient in German (C2 level) and English
• ideally knowledge in GitOps, requirements engineering, or leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities

• contribute to the further development of software, identify and resolve errors and security vulnerabilities
• ensure smooth operation, updates, and continuous improvement of the internal developer platform
• enhance developer experience using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, Terraform, Jenkins, and Kubernetes
• work agile on topics related to Open Source, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern cloud infrastructures
• capture technical requirements, translate them for development, and apply expertise in consulting projects and internal DevOps
• provide creative solutions for high satisfaction among customers, team, and community
