Job summary

The Cloud Engineer role focuses on driving modernization projects by transitioning existing client processes to the Federal Cloud, utilizing expertise in OpenShift. Key responsibilities include acting as a liaison between development and operations, automating build and deployment processes on Kubernetes platforms, and implementing monitoring systems to ensure operational stability.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in (Business) Computer Science or comparable qualification
• Solid practical experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift in production environments
• Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GitOps approaches with ArgoCD
• Experience in building and operating modern CI/CD pipelines
• Very good German (C1) and good English language skills
• Willingness to travel for projects

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between development and operations
• Work with classic technologies like Jenkins, Apache, and JBoss, as well as modern platforms based on Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker
• Automate build and deployment processes on Kubernetes cloud platforms
• Participate in the migration of existing applications to the cloud and support the design of cloud architectures
• Implement and plan monitoring systems to ensure operational stability
