Cloud Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Engineer will design, develop, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure initiatives supported by the Data and Analytics Technology team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform
• 3+ years of experience with container-based technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD Tools
• 1+ year of experience in Dataproc implementation
• Understanding of different database technologies
• 3+ years of experience with config management tools and scripting languages (Ansible, Bash, Groovy)
• A university degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Management or relevant
• Google Cloud associate certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Google cloud infrastructure with IAC tools like Terraform
• Implement Google best practices to secure managed services for Data and Analytics workloads
• Develop and maintain automation pipelines to securely build and deploy applications and GCP infrastructure
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts for operational oversight
• Collaborate with enterprise security and business applications teams on cloud architecture
• Stay updated on GCP best practices and recommend improvements
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents
• Design, test and implement new technologies and applications like Databricks
