Job summary
This role focuses on the core cloud platform and associated infrastructure, contributing to infrastructure projects across various services and cloud platforms to support SSE's strategic themes. The successful candidate will collaborate with strategists, architects, and engineers to craft technical solutions and accelerate the business.

Qualifications
- Understanding of Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure and Cloud Native Architectures
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux)
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of operational support procedures
- Ability to write software scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Ability to develop automation in Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Strong communication skills for cross-organizational collaboration
Responsibilities
- Identify and progress opportunities for continuous improvement across the team, delivery, and operational practices
- Collaborate to reduce operational risk within the core cloud platform
- Partner with Product Owners and management to articulate demand planning and delivery against backlog
- Provide support and best practice guidance for application teams on platform adoption
