Job summary

Showtime Consulting is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer / Systems Engineer to support cloud platform delivery and infrastructure operations in a secure government environment. The role involves deploying, managing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and platform services while collaborating with various teams to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies.
• Experience developing deployment pipelines and DevSecOps capabilities.
• Experience managing development, test, and production environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and platform reliability.
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience in government, defence, or highly regulated environments would be highly regarded.
• Knowledge aligned to SFIA capabilities including CPMG4, AVMT5, ITOP4, DESN5, PROG3, PBMG4, and HSIN5 would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Support DevSecOps practices across platform delivery activities.
• Maintain development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor platform performance, health, and availability.
• Improve platform resilience, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support cloud platform upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and delivery teams to implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and cloud modernisation initiatives.
