Job summary

Designs, builds, tests, deploys, and sustains enterprise Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and shared services for mission systems, data platforms, AI and machine learning solutions, analytics workloads, and APIs. The role creates secure landing zones and reusable infrastructure patterns, configures foundational cloud components, maintains architecture and operational documentation, and troubleshoots platform issues affecting hosted workloads.

• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent.
• Develop infrastructure patterns for development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Design and configure cloud compute, storage, networking, and supporting platform services.
• Diagnose and resolve cloud platform issues, including configuration, policy, permissions, networking, provisioning, DNS, performance, and service integration problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, deploy, and sustain enterprise GCP environments for mission systems, data platforms, AI solutions, analytics workloads, and APIs.
• Create foundational cloud environments, organizational hierarchies, project structures, shared services, baseline configurations, and deployment patterns.
• Build and maintain GCP landing zones and shared services for secure workload onboarding.
• Develop reusable platform templates, infrastructure modules, deployment standards, and baseline configurations.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, dependency records, operational standards, and sustainment documentation.
• Validate platform builds and environment changes, and troubleshoot issues affecting hosted workloads or shared services.
