Job summary
Own and operate a multi-account AWS environment and client-facing file-delivery platform across development, test, production, and DMZ environments. Build and maintain infrastructure with Terraform and GitHub Actions, manage CI/CD releases and scheduled data workflows, and strengthen monitoring, security, and incident response. The role also includes documenting operational procedures, supporting internal teams, and retiring the legacy CrushFTP platform.

Qualifications
- At least 6 years of cloud or infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 4 years operating production AWS.
- Deep AWS experience with VPC, Transit Gateway, Client VPN, IAM, SSO, Organizations, load balancers, ACM, EC2 Auto Scaling, S3, AWS Config, and CloudTrail.
- Experience with job schedulers or workflow automation platforms such as Stonebranch/OpsWise, Control-M, or Airflow.
- Production experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions, including OIDC-based deployments.
- Knowledge of TLS/PKI, DNS, and file transfer protocols.
- Scripting experience in Python or Bash.
- Experience with SRE or platform engineering, SLOs, observability, and on-call practices is an asset.
- Experience leading a multi-account AWS migration is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly available AWS infrastructure across development, test, production, and DMZ accounts.
- Plan production changes with documented scope, impact, rollback, and confirmation.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and support safe, repeatable deployments.
- Monitor and tune scheduled data workflows, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes.
- Build monitoring, alerting, metrics, and logs for infrastructure and workflow health.
- Respond to infrastructure and security incidents, investigate root causes, and document outcomes in Jira.
- Automate recurring work with scripts, GitHub Actions, infrastructure as code, and AI tooling.
- Maintain runbooks, architecture and network diagrams, and operational standards.
- Coach junior engineers and delegate repeatable work using written runbooks.
