Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Design and deliver hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure transformations, supporting the full lifecycle from assessment and solution design through migration, optimisation, and ongoing operations. The role combines hands-on engineering with client consulting, stakeholder engagement, and workstream leadership to create scalable, secure, resilient, and automated solutions using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP and technologies including VMware, Kubernetes platforms, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

• Experience in infrastructure architecture, engineering, consulting, or technology delivery.
• Client-facing or stakeholder experience in consulting, advisory, or professional services.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead workstreams, coordinate teams, and manage priorities in transformation programmes.
• Experience across several infrastructure, cloud, security, virtualisation, container, or automation areas.
• Ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, operate, and govern hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
• Support projects from strategy and assessment through design, implementation, migration, optimisation, and ongoing operations.
• Develop scalable, secure, resilient, and automated infrastructure platforms.
• Contribute to cloud transformation, infrastructure modernisation, and large-scale migration programmes.
• Build client relationships and facilitate workshops to gather requirements and communicate recommendations.
• Present solutions and project updates, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to proposals and capability development.
