Job summary
Own the development, deployment, and operation of a production data platform, translating internal engineering needs into reliable cloud and software systems while coordinating external contractors. The role spans infrastructure as code, backend services and frontend interfaces, CI/CD, data pipelines, monitoring, and incident recovery, with responsibility for technical delivery, validation, and operational handover.

Qualifications
- Experience building, deploying and operating production software on a major cloud platform.
- Strong practical knowledge of infrastructure as code, containers, Linux, networking, identity and access management, and CI/CD.
- Solid software engineering skills, including backend services, APIs, databases and the ability to work across frontend and backend code.
- Experience with data pipelines, object storage, relational databases and reliable processing of large datasets.
- Evidence of taking ownership of an existing platform: understanding unfamiliar code, diagnosing problems and delivering improvements safely.
- Experience leading external developers or contractors, including scoping work, reviewing implementation and holding delivery to clear quality standards.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn incomplete requirements into actionable technical work.
- Sound judgment about what to build directly, what to delegate and when to involve internal engineering specialists.
Responsibilities
- Understand the existing platform architecture, identify the changes needed for Humanoid’s environment and workflows, and take those changes through development, integration, testing and deployment.
- Define work packages, priorities, technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Work with Humanoid’s engineering teams to understand requirements and constraints.
- Manage compute, storage, networking and environments through infrastructure as code
- Implement and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations and frontend interfaces
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, deployment processes, environment configuration and developer tooling.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, processing, storage and access pipelines.
- Establish monitoring, logging and alerting; investigate incidents; and maintain practical rollback, backup and recovery procedures.
