Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the Service, Security & Operations team, ensuring smooth operation of production and user services, providing third line support, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Degree standard or equivalent in technology or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and user management.
• Experience in management of Virtual Machines, Desktop and Server.
• Understanding of User Applications and Network Management.
• Developing level of Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage Infrastructure and Service Desk issues to timely resolution.
• Create and maintain documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Engage with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure system changes align with standards and quality controls.
• Investigate infrastructure issues and develop fixes.
• Apply quality controls to work undertaken.
• Incorporate cyber security requirements into work.
• Provide third line support for incidents and requests.
• Conduct triage on Infrastructure incidents.
• Collaborate with third-party service providers.
• Configure and maintain Infrastructure services on-site and in the cloud.
• Manage user system permissions according to requests.
• Perform regular updates on servers.
• Participate in out-of-hours support arrangements.
• Work with Security team on cyber security issues.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for alignment.
• Maintain knowledge of current technologies for improvements.
• Engage with external parties to share knowledge.
• Maintain documentation for development activity.
• Understand core architectural patterns and technologies.
