Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer designs, implements, administers, and supports Azure cloud infrastructure, on-premises VMware infrastructure supporting approximately 200 virtual machines, and enterprise Linux and Windows servers. The role manages server patching, service validation, incident response, and capacity, automates configuration with Ansible and PowerShell, and develops SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle processes for discovery, renewal, deployment, validation, and expiration monitoring. It also provides tier-three support and documents systems in accordance with architecture, security, and change management standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 1–2 years of experience, or bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support Azure cloud and on-premises VMware infrastructure, including an environment of approximately 200 virtual machines.
• Administer enterprise Linux and Windows servers, including patching, service validation, incident response, and capacity management.
• Automate configuration using Ansible, PowerShell, and related tools.
• Develop and support automated SSL/TLS certificate discovery, renewal, deployment, validation, and expiration monitoring.
• Document supported systems and provide tier-three support.
• Collaborate with ITS staff and service owners while following architecture, security, and change management standards.
