Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining Azure cloud environments, including infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, security, compliance, and operational support.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technology-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting Azure cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Azure services.
• Experience diagnosing technical issues in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Experience using Azure Monitor or similar tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts.
• Understanding of cloud security principles.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support, monitor and optimise Azure services.
• Diagnose and resolve Azure-related incidents.
• Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Implement and maintain security controls.
• Administer Entra ID and multi-factor authentication.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts.
• Support Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Support networking services.
• Implement and maintain backup solutions.
• Maintain Azure resources through patching.
• Support upgrades for Synapse and Python environments.
• Support Power Platform and Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Develop Logic Apps for automation.
• Monitor Azure consumption and support cost-management.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
