Job summary

Cloud Infrastructure Platform Engineer responsible for designing, building, and securing cloud platforms for U.S. Army Europe and Africa.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience supporting Army or DoD enterprise IT environments.
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments.
• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or virtualization certifications preferred.
• Must pass German TESA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud environments.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads.
• Engineer and maintain virtualized infrastructure.
• Design and manage cloud networking architecture.
• Implement and manage identity and access management solutions.
• Deploy secure operating system frameworks.
• Integrate distributed communication technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance.
• Apply security hardening practices.
• Support platform modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and application teams.
