Cloud Operations Engineer

Job summary

ASR*** is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to manage containerized environments and deploy applications on Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required
• 5-7+ years’ experience in Cloud Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps
• Hands-on experience with Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose in production environments
• Solid experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash and Python
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Strong skills with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) such as Eclipse
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and support containerized environments using Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes clusters
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments
• Work with development, security, and product teams to plan, deploy, and maintain services
• Document operational procedures and create clear runbooks
