Cloud Operations Engineer

Job summary

Support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, infrastructure, or cloud environments.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure services.
• Understanding of Windows Server and networking fundamentals.
• Awareness of IT security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring, patching, and maintenance processes.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and source control practices.
• Familiarity with Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Clear communication skills and ability to follow structured processes.
• Willingness to learn and grow technically.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of Microsoft Azure and core cloud services.
• Monitor cloud environments and respond to platform alerts.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving cloud incidents and service issues.
• Apply system patches, updates, and routine maintenance activities.
• Support backup, recovery, and resilience processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Work collaboratively with IT teams to resolve cross-platform issues.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code.
• Maintain and improve reusable deployment templates and configuration standards.
• Support Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault integration.
• Assist with validation and testing of infrastructure changes.
• Support Azure DevOps build and release pipelines.
• Assist with troubleshooting deployment pipeline failures.
• Support implementation of security controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Ensure systems meet patching, compliance, and security standards.
